About eComComply

eComComply exists to make EU e-commerce compliance understandable and actionable for the people who actually have to deal with it — Amazon and online sellers.

Rules like Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), VAT obligations, the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) can stall a business, trigger account suspensions, or quietly pile up liability. Most of what is written about them is either dense legal text or vague marketing. This site aims for the middle: clear, practical explanations grounded in how the rules work in the real world.

Who is behind it

eComComply is written and run by Jarmo Habakuk. I work full-time in e-commerce as an Amazon EU specialist, dealing with the compliance requirements that cross-border sellers face day to day. I started this site because I kept seeing the same questions — and the same costly mistakes — from sellers trying to stay compliant across EU markets.

How the content is made

Articles are based on official sources — EU regulations, national authority guidance, and marketplace policies — combined with hands-on experience of what actually happens when you sell into the EU. Where rules differ by country, that is called out rather than glossed over. Compliance changes often, so articles are dated and updated as the rules move.
